Inner Log

mfraley
I am trying to upgrade a project to nlog 2, but now my database target is not working.  I see there are lots of changes to the config file format, so I started updating, but nothing I am trying is working.

So I set the following:
internalLogFile="${basedir}/AppLogs/nlog-internal.log" internalLogLevel="Debug" throwExceptions="true"

However I am not getting any output for the internal log at all, nor is it throwing any exceptions. Am I missing something?  It is almost as if nlog isn't running at all except the logfile target is working. By the way, the logfile target is writting to the same directory as the internal log should be, so there shouldn't be any permission problems.

OK, I changed internalLogFile="${basedir}/AppLogs/nlog-internal.log" to internalLogFile="c:\logs\nlog.log" and it worked. I got the info I needed, was able to fix the sql issue and now the database target is working again.

Not sure why ${basedir} won't work for internalLogFile, but it does work for the "file" target.
