Slow start-up time on target.

fight666
Hi,

We have been using the NLog v. 1.0.0.505 and have been using it in our project since March 2011. We just upgraded to the v 2.0 and wondered why the start-up time just was extended with nearly 10 – 12 seconds on our target.

We are using CF 3.5, config files is kept the same as with the old version:

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<nlog xmlns="http://www.nlog-project.org/schemas/NLog.xsd"
      xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <targets>

      <target name="console" xsi:type="Console" layout="${longdate} ${level:uppercase=true} ${logger} : ${message}" />

      <target
        name="mainlog"
        fileName="${basedir}/cpu.log"
        concurrentWrites="false"
        archiveEvery="Day"
        archiveNumbering="Rolling"
        archiveAboveSize="102400"
        xsi:type="File"
        layout="${longdate}|${level:uppercase=true}|${logger}|${event-context:item=uid}|${event-context:item=timestamp}|${message}"
        />

      <target
        name="errorlog"
        fileName="${basedir}/cpu-errors.log"
        archiveEvery="Day"
        archiveNumbering="Rolling"
        xsi:type="File"
        layout="${longdate}|${level:uppercase=true}|${event-context:item=uid}|${event-context:item=timestamp}|${message}${newline}${exception:format=ToString}"
        />

    </targets>

    <rules>
      <logger name="ExceptionSink" levels="Warn,Error,Fatal"  writeTo="errorlog" final="true"/>
      <logger name="*" minlevel="Debug" writeTo="console" />
      <logger name="*" minlevel="Info" writeTo="mainlog" />
    </rules>
</nlog>

We have tried setting the async="true" but that didn’t help. Any suggestions?

Best regards,
Benjamin
